This year's 17th edition of the event, organized under the auspices of the CCB (Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk), returns to Bleiburg and promises a variety of contemporary dance and performance pieces with a focus on women's creations. A first-time collaboration with Impulstanz will be featured in 2024 during Public Moves in Klagenfurt.
Anna Hein, artistic director, told us in a video interview about this year's focus of the festival as well as its history and positioning.

The Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk (CCB) was founded in 2011 as a platform for contemporary dance in Carinthia. Patron was dancer, choreographer, and director Johann Kresnik (1939-2019), who was born in Bleiburg/Pliberk. The goal of the CCB has been and continues to be (in the tradition of Johann Kresnik's work) to combine contemporary dance with sociopolitical engagement. As a bilingual Carinthian cultural institution, the CCB aims to reach as many people as possible with its artistic productions – transcending conventional boundaries and limitations – and to inspire them with the art form of dance and performance.
